1992 saw the launch of the original DOS version of our welding/quality assurance system, which was well received by the welding community in the UK and used extensively throughout the world. corporates such as GEC are using the original and subsequent DOS versions to fulfil their welding and quality assurance requirements in the building of nuclear and combined cycle power plants from the UK to China, Philippines and Indonesia.

1996/97 saw the Windows 3.x, Win95 and WinNT versions launched now entitled  "WELDPRO" which enabled us to add a complete visual interface enabling users to work directly with the isometrics, and a WYSIWYG report forms generator.

WeldPro has been designed from the ground up, to be an invaluable tool for both welding engineers and management personnel.

WeldPro is a modular system which is easy to use, and yet helps to provide increased efficiency, improved presentation and reduce costs. WeldPro is an expert production based system tracking welds through from design to completion, incorporating quality and assurance checks at each stage in production.  All of the variables associated with welding can be stored, printed (EN ASME) and can be easily customized to suit other layouts, such as recommended by National & International Standards, or internal company standards.

By entering data into the system as the weld is designed, procedures and NDT requirements can be defaulted.  Data entered during the welding process will automatically raise NDT Data Sheets of  the required type (Rad,US,Mpi,Dpi), (failed welds requiring a percentage NDT will  generate the extra NDT to specification) the system batches the welds per welder and  weld type as necessary to control i.e. 10% NDT requirements and 100% requirements.

Not only does WeldPro automatically link together data from all sections to give full traceability to all supporting documentation.  WeldPro also allows the input of visual files such as Engineering drawings/ P&ids and is able to link data references from all sources to these images, allowing the user  to access information directly from the image at the touch of a button.

WeldPro is a full windows based application written around a Microsoft Access Database.  Import facilities are available from any source able to produce either structured database output or ASCII delimited files.  Products tested include Intergraph© and Autocad©.
